For the last ten years, TARA Labs has used tag line “The Cable Technology Leader.” This is more than an advertising slogan. It says something about the mission of this company, and of the people who work here.
In an extremely competitive business, TARA Labs is the only company that has consistently and repeatedly pioneered the new technologies that have driven the industry forward. Every major innovation in cable technology, from the use of solid core conductors to air-tubes and vacuum dielectric, was done here first. Others followed, imitated our products and copied our literature, but none can claim the expertise and creative energy that TARA Labs has exhibited.
The company was born in 1984, when company founder Matthew Bond, trained in physics and electronics theory, was looking for ways to improve the performance of audio components and the wire used within an audio system. Matthew knew that small changes could create significant improvement in the sound. The last link in the audio chain was the wiring that connected the components themselves, the interconnects and loudspeaker cables.
